ABOUT US AT THE PAULSRUD FARM
At Paulsrud we have our own vegetable garden behind the Main House where we grow strawberries, potatoes, carrots and three different types of lettuce .

Enjoying the fireplace with strawberries from the farm, fresh milk and sugar – a uniquely Norwegian tradition!

COWS AND CALVES
At Paulsrud, we have 16-18 cows that produce premium quality milk, supplying both local dairies and our own farm all year. The cows and the calves graze on our land and are easy to spot and hear for our guests as they wear the traditional Norwegian cowbells.

SHEEP
Sheep are important animals on our farm. Where the lawn mower cannot reach, our endearing sheep help us keep the grass down. When they are not out grazing, they can be found on the fenced field by the farmhouse where you will also find the dogs sitting curiously observing and probably wondering what these cute little creatures are.

DOGS and CATS
Miivuu and Cox  live on the farm too, to the delight of both residents and guests! As a sled dog, Cox loves to pull and always joins us on our hikes up to the Shieling, whether we go by skis or bikes! A while ago, two kittens, "Pus and Pus", moved in with us. We love having animals on the farm and we just can’t seem to get enough of them. And, someone needs to deal with the barn mice, after all!
